It was a celebration of artistry, tradition, and the simple joy of sharing a table. Over the course of a week, thirty-six distinguished guests crossed borders, cultures, and over forty-seven wines, discovering how deeply the Adriatic’s flavors can tell a story.
Albania: Where Tradition Meets the Table
The journey began in Tirana, a city of color, rhythm, and contrast. Between its grand boulevards and street murals, guests explored layers of history at Bunk’Art 2, then savored lunch at Agro-Tourismo Blerina, where organic ingredients met heartfelt Albanian hospitality. In Kruja, heritage and craft came alive in the old bazaar before a farm-to-table feast at Mrizi i Zanave, one of the region’s most celebrated slow-food restaurants. It was a warm, authentic beginning — a taste of Albania’s generous soul before the journey turned toward Montenegro.
Montenegro: A Journey of Senses
Crossing into Montenegro felt like entering a painting — stone villages, mountain air, and a coastline where each view seemed to whisper a story. The journey began at Šipčanik Wine Cellar, a former military hangar carved into the mountain and now one of Plantaze’s most remarkable spaces. Guests tasted Crnogorski Krstač, Crnogorska Kratošija, and Vranac Pro Corde, discovering Montenegro’s proud winemaking tradition in a truly unforgettable setting.
From there, the route unfolded toward Rijeka Crnojevića, where lunch at Konoba Ceklin overlooked the emerald curves of Pavlova Strana, one of the country’s most breathtaking viewpoints. The journey continued through Lake Skadar, Cetinje, and Njeguši, blending scenic beauty with living tradition — from prosciutto tastings to a cable-car descent revealing the shimmer of the Adriatic below.
Wine, Waves & the Adriatic Table
In Montenegro, gastronomy became the language of connection. At Restaurant Adriatica, guests enjoyed a seaside lunch of truffled seafood and Frug wines — Chardonnay, Cuvée, and Rosé — perfectly paired with the scent of salt air. At Restaurant Galion, overlooking Kotor Bay, the refinement of Adriatic cuisine came alive through seabass fillet, rich hazelnut dessert, and the elegance of Suton Cuvée. Dinner at Restaurant Conte offered the essence of Montenegrin tradition: Njeguši cheeses, local meats, and wines like Storia di Pietra and Kratošija Brajović, celebrating the soul of the coast.
Even the day’s boat ride carried its own surprise — as the group entered the old submarine tunnels of Kotor Bay, a local band greeted them with the sounds of flute, mandolin, guitar, and accordion. The laughter and music echoed through the tunnels, turning a quiet moment of exploration into a celebration of Montenegrin spirit.
A Night to Remember – Dinner at the Monastery
The crescendo of the journey arrived quietly, under candlelight, inside an 18th-century Franciscan Monastery in Prčanj. There, amidst ancient stone walls and the gentle echo of the bay, guests were served a five-course masterpiece — from shrimp buzara on creamy polenta to gnocchi pašticada 2.0 and Bokelian cannolo. Each dish was paired with regional wines — from Serbia’s Tri Morave to Montenegro’s Kolomat Vranac — in a setting that felt almost suspended in time.

And just as the final toast was raised, the soft hum of conversation gave way to the voice of an opera singer — her notes soaring through the monastery’s ancient corridors, carrying both grace and power.
